Google Short links Service

In my previous post, I introduced you about some FREE shortening URL services (URL shorteners) that can help you shorten the url of your blog posts and tweet them conveniently on twitter or make them easier for you to share through email, IM, ect. However, I think that the only problem with URL shortening services is that most of them don’t have a solid business model yet so if they decide to shut shop in future, all your existing short links will become broken or point to non-existent 404 pages.

So now, I would like to introduce you another service that can help you shorten your long and complex urls that will run on your own domain. THAT IS 'GOOGLE SHORT LINKS SERVICE'.

Google Short Links Service is a free service for your domain using Google Apps. In this post, I take my domain, vietnamvoiz.com (hosted with Godaddy), as an example to walk you thru the steps how to set it up.

  1. Visit Google Short Links Service

  2. Click on Add it now button to enter your Google Apps domain. And then click GO
